How long should it take a good mech. to change timing chain & gears?

how long should it take for a good Mechanic to change the timing chain and gears and reinstall everything .. 1994 GMC 4.3 v6 he only has to remove top fan shroud ,belt,fan %26amp; pulley ,lower rad. hose,water pump,lower pulley %26amp; ballancer,timing chain cover ,timing chain %26amp; gears %26amp; gaskets then reinstall new timing chain %26amp; gears reinstall everyting that was removed... i need answers from good mechanics ASAPHow long should it take a good mech. to change timing chain %26amp; gears?4 to 6 hoursHow long should it take a good mech. to change timing chain %26amp; gears?book calls for 4 hoursHow long should it take a good mech. to change timing chain %26amp; gears?3-4 hour job could be done in as little as 2 hoursHow long should it take a good mech. to change timing chain %26amp; gears?Yhea obviously those that have answered with book time don't work on vehicles... your forgetting the corrosion (oxidation) that occurs on the front of the engine, not to mention the possibility of a broken bolt, or that the harmonic balancer has been on for 15 years might need some extra persuasion to come off which would mean that the radiator has to come out, or clean up time of all parts before re-installation (you ever try and just wipe off a 15 year old gasket?) but least of all road test time to ensure that all repairs are done correctly. book time is for the actual time of the steps involed in a perfect situation with hand tools. can it be done in
