It's cool when you are 6 but anything after that just turns into a big fiasco. It's now the corporations and major chain stores that tell you what christmas is about.
People love being in the cheery holiday season for about 3 weeks. Then they go back to their crappy jobs hating everyone and being miserable.
A day on a calendar shouldn't change how you act. If you aren't happy like that all the time than you're faking it.
I hate christmas. But I LOVE the day after xmas when people can finally shut the hell up.Someone else out there has to hate christmas as much as I do?OH god yes i do hate christmas. and TODAY is the worst of all. i envy those who celebrate christmas because my family is most of bitter. i love how you recieve presents in the morning and everything. its a great feeling to recieve gifts. but i never recieve any. i give them but i dont get them. So im always thinking to myself...am i not worth a small petty present? and worse of all today. my cousins called my family over to their house specifically saying %26quot;come and watch us open our presents, you guys dont celebrate christmas anyways%26quot;. they're a really rich family. all the presents wouldn't fit under the tree and took up half of the room. NO JOKE!! they sat there opening presents and we just sat and watched. they got ipods, digital cameras, phones, a shitsu puppy, laptops, games. everything! i really envied them because thats what i wanted for christmas but my family dont celebrate christmas. i was okay until they said. LOOK WHAT I GOT! LOOK WHAT I GOT! and i was so mad. my sister and i came home in tears. we finally realized THEY DID ONLY WANT US TO COME WATCH THEM OPEN THEIR PRESENTS not because they wanted us there for christmas. I HATE CHRISTMAS! I HATE IT! SO MUCH! GAHH!. i cant even explain. the previous years before my elder sister left she'd usually buy us small gifts and we were really okay with it. but she left and my parents didnt want to celebrate christmas. they never wanted to. I HATE MY PARENTS FOR THAT TOO. gah! i just cant stand this HOLIDAY! i wish it never existed!Someone else out there has to hate christmas as much as I do?So where do I deliver the coal to?Someone else out there has to hate christmas as much as I do?Looks like someone didn't have a nice Christmas as a child. The only reason Christmas has become way too 'commercial' is that corporations can profit off of it big time.
And just because they supposedly are telling you what Christmas is all about, doesn't mean everyone sees it the same. Some celebrate the day only because of Christ, others are in between (decorating, gift-giving and Christ) and then there are folks like you that is simply a grinch about it.
Take a nice three week vacation to another country (Pakistan or some other place) where the holiday isn't all in your face next year. He would drink himself into a drunken stuper and drive himself home. How he never crashed is beyond me. Anyway, I used to get up on Christmas day at 6 am and run to the tree and look at all the presents. But my mother wouldn't let me open any presents until my father got up. So around 3:00 pm I would here him puking in their bathroom, and I'd get all excited because I knew he'd be getting up soon...
30 years later I still get depressed around Christmas...
